This is a wicked world we live in honestly according to reports Two stolen kids that were rescued by the Cross River State Police Command on Thursday said they were made sex slaves by a herbalist, Emmanuel Akpan-Okon, who held them hostage for four years.

The kids, Esther Wisdom and Felicia Destiny, both aged 11, said in the four years that they were held hostage, the herbalist raped them almost every day.

Akpan-Okon (42) was arrested by the police following a tip-off that he specialised in the preparation of charms for armed robbers.

LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT GIVES N5M TO FATHER WHO LOST 4 CHILDREN IN MUDSLIDE

Remember the sad story I posted a couple of days back about policeman who lost his four children to mudslide in the Magodo area of Lagos? if you missed it click HERE he was recently given 5 million naira by the Lagos state government to aid him and his family secure a new accommodation read story below

A Nigerian man identified as Sammy Agunbiade who works as a bus driver has been honoured by the School Board of Spring Branch ISD for saving the lives of 30 school children he had been driving to school when the bus caught fire.
The incident is said to have happened when they were around Westview and had first attributed a loud pop to the noise of the children playing till he saw smoke coming from the back of the tailpipe of the bus and also perceived the smell. Quickly he parked the bus and got the children to safety even as the smoke was building up quicker and thicker. He managed to get all the students out before the bus was engulfed in flames.

The Director General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) Professor John Idoko today disclosed that it recently discovered about 3,500 male sex workers within the Abuja city centre, most of whom were married men. Idoko made the disclosure while speaking at the agency's maiden lecture in Abuja. He said a study carried out by the agency indicated that over 60 per cent of the male sex workers are married raising the concern of spouse HIV transmission. He added that the findings by the agency also indicated that a high proportion of married women in Cross River and Benue had other sexual partners within the last six months.

The first plane load of Syrian refugees has arrived in the UK as the authorities say they have done their best to ensure they do not pose a terrorist threat.

How long will this delivery take? Because it is already looking like the president might need a C-section to deliver. The signs are clear for all to see that Buhari has started feeling the pangs of labour. Nobody should ask us to give Buhari time to settle down to work. Buhari is an employee and he has to do the job hes getting paid for. No firm accords its employees the luxury of settling down to the job. Why must it be a different case with Nigeria? Is President Buhari not getting paid already? So why does he need time to do a job hes already getting paid for?

Tragedy struck on Saturday in Orisha Community, Magodo, Isheri area of Lagos State, after a mudslide hit a three bed-roomed flat, killing all the four children in the house.

According to Sunday Punch, that the incident happened around 4.50am on Ottun Araromi Street, while the victims were sleeping in their rooms.They were identified as Sylva, 23; Sayo, 15; Clinton, 13; and Endurance, 8.It was learnt that there had been a downpour over the night till the early hours of Saturday.

NIGERIANS DIG UP CONTAMINATED CHICKEN BURIED BY CUSTOMS IN RIVERS FOR CONSUMPTION

There was pandemonium on Saturday and Sunday near the Trailer Park at Ebubu in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers when scores of youth, women and children descended on a burrow pit; dug out and took home several tonnes of chicken condemned and buried by men of the Nigerian Customs.

The scavengers came with shovels, pans, basins and buckets to cart their loot home.
The Customs had on Friday dug out a canal there and buried thousands of cartons of frozen poultry they seized at the Onne Ports. Witnesses said the chicken were brought in six containers, emptied and before the customs party left.

The police in Lagos have arrested a 20-year-old lady, who admitted to setting up her friend to be gang r*ped after a misunderstanding between them.

The victim (names withheld) was reportedly ambushed by six armed men, suspected to be cultists, at about 8p.m., around Olaosebikan Street in Somolu area of Lagos.

The gunmen, said to have earlier propositioned her, which she rejected, took turns on her for over four hours inside an apartment at Elewures House, around Bajulaiye Compound, where she was taken.

Former Nigerian President, General Yakabu Gowon and late Edith Ike Okongwu are the parents of Musa Jack Ngonadi Gowon, who was recently released from a prison in California after serving 22 years there. Young Musa had relocated to the US with his mum where he lived until his arrest in 1992.

On November 18, 1992, agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Customs Service arrested Musa, Jack Spencer, for conspiring to import in excess of one kilogram of heroin. Jack Musa Gowon, who was 23 years old at that time was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the allegation of smuggling heroin from source countries.
